International Center for Study of Book Culture to be set up at Association of Academies of Sciences

The International Center for the Study of Book Culture will be set up within the Association of the Academies of Sciences before year-end. The document in Minsk was signed by the Belarusian and Russian sides. The main purpose of the new literary research platform is to study book culture, address the problems of present-day book publishing, as well as encourage young people to read. Also, the Academy of Sciences hosted an awarding ceremony for winners of the Likhachev Prize. 13 Russian and Belarusian scientists were awarded diplomas and medals for their contribution to the study of literature.
