Igor Luchenok celebrates 80th anniversary

The People's Artist of Belarus and the USSR, Professor, Academician, Doctor of Sciences Igor Luchenok celebrates his anniversary today. The composer, whose work is known and loved by many generations, turned 80 years old! Igor Luchenok is the author of many cantatas, sonatas, overtures, but is best known and loved by the public as a songwriter. It was he who wrote music to such hits as «Alesya», «Polka Belaruskaya», «Moy rodny kut». The city hall chimes count every hour to the chorus from the famous composer’s «Song about Minsk». Igor Luchenok's work is well known in many countries of the world.
