History of Belarus reflected in collection of antique chests

The exposition of authentic items at the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Traditional Way of Life introduces its visitors to a unique collections of old chests. An exhibition of antique coffers coming from different regions of Belarus includes items that used to be a part of both urban and countryside house environment. They can be used to study the history of Belarus, as well as regional traditions from various epochs. The collection has been many decades in the making. These exhibits were once an integral part of the interiors of village houses, representing culture and traditional way of life in Belarus.
