31.08.2017
The first Bible printed by Francysk Skaryna in the Old Church Slavonic language will be delivered to Minsk for the first time on September 4 to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing. The Bible has been kept in the historical museum of Moscow since the middle of the nineteenth century. A unique specimen, remarkable for the fact that it contains a portrait of Francis Skaryna, will be exhibited in the National History Museum of Belarus. Nowadays almost all the books by Francysk Skaryna are kept outside our country, namely, in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, and Russia.
