"Feminine" exhibition
26.07.2022
The visual and spiritual DNA of the fairer sex is out for studying at the halls of the National Art Museum. The "Feminine" exhibition project shares its interpretation of gender theory through the language of traditional artisanship and professional fine arts. Both 400-year-old religious paintings and works dating back to the 20th century help explain what puzzles come together to form the image of woman. Among the artists are some of the seminal figures of Belarusian art, including Gavriil Vashchenko, Boris Kazakov, Zoya Litvinova, Mikhail Savitski. In total, the exposition dedicated to the female motif in the Belarusian traditional culture includes 97 works from the collection of the National Art Museum.
