F.Ruschits’ works to enrich collection of National Art Museum
09.03.2020
UNESCO has included the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ferdinand Ruschits in the calendar of memorable dates. The legacy of the artist, who was born near the Belarusian town of Volozhin and became popular in Europe, is being bought at auctions for tens of thousands of dollars today. Our art gallery has already announced the Year of Ruschits: in the artist’s homeland, unknown facts from his biography will be revealed in a round table format. Three original sketches by Ferdinand Ruschits will enrich the collection of the National Art Museum. The landscape painter's works were bought from the artist’s grandson thanks to the Belarusian Embassy in Switzerland.
