The exhibition "Touching heritage with the soul" has opened at the National Library. The exhibition is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. At the exhibition you can get acquainted with five elements of Belarusian culture, which are included in the list of universal intangible values. These are the rituals "Carol Kings", "Yurievsky Round Dance", "Budslav Fest", "Culture of Beekeeping", and "Straw Weaving". In 2004, our country was one of the first to ratify the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and consistently implements it. It is expected that the exhibition will continue to operate in various regions.
