Exhibition of images of saints opened at National Art Museum
21.12.2017
The exhibition of images of saints honoured both by Catholic and the Orthodox believers has opened at the National Art Museum. The works were created by contemporary artists from all over the world - from Spain to Russia. Since most of the images of the Christian saints did not survive, modern icon painters used literary sources. It is symbolic that the presentation of the international project took place in Belarus, where for centuries different confessions have peacefully coexisted. The exposition will go on an international tour. After Minsk, it will open in Perm, Russia.
