Exhibition "Magic melody of clay"
Speckled, glazed and black-and-smoky ceramics by Belarusian masters are presented at the exhibition "Magic Melody of Clay" at the Museum of the History of Theater and Musical Culture. Pottery has been known since Neolithic times. As an independent craft, pottery has existed on our lands since the 10th century, when the first potter's wheel appeared. The museum exposition contains only a part of the collection from the funds of the historical and cultural museum-reserve "Zaslavl", which stores more than 700 exhibits. Clay products were created at different times by Belarusian craftsmen. In addition to dishes, the exposition presents stylized clay toys by Belarusian craftsmen: whistles in the form of a horse, a bird, a ram, a horse rider, a bear, and a doll.
