Exhibition-dedication of the artist's paintings

A personal exhibition-dedication of paintings by Alexander Kostyuchenko will open today at the Shchemelev Art Gallery. The main artist of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus died in 2019 at the age of 62. As a stage designer, Alexander Kostyuchenko staged about 50 performances. Few knew him as an artist. The exposition is a retrospective of works from 1990 to 2019. Paintings of various genres are presented: from still lifes and landscapes to plot works of a philosophical orientation. For high creative achievements, professional skills and merits in the development of national culture and art, Alexander Kostyuchenko was awarded the Francysk Skorina medal, a special award of the President and the State Prize of Belarus.
