"Drink of Love" opera premiere

Crescendo at the end of the season. The Bolshoi Theater of Belarus closes the 89th season with a premiere show. After 57 years of intermission, the comic opera by G. Donizetti returns to the repertory. "Drink of Love" is the story of a miracle elixir that turns out to be a farce. As conceived by theater’s chief director A. Motornaya, the action of the opera will be transferred to the beach from the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The viewer will see marine scenery on the stage. And the costume designers suggested using both old fashion trends and novelties from haute couture a la Coco Chanel in the artists' clothes. Leading opera artists of the country will present the audience with an opera not only in the language of vocals, but also in gestures.
