"Descendants of Traditions" festival and contest of student projects

Kotchinskaya quadrille, Pavlovski wedding loaf, Belevichskaya traditional puppet act, Rukhovskiye carpets, Vetkovshchina wooden lace. The "Descendants of Traditions" 2nd nationwide festival and contest brought together 130 young researchers from all regions of Belarus in Minsk. More than 20 projects promoting the traditions of the native land were presented in a modern interpretation. Among the nominations were "Folk Arts and Crafts" and "Folklore". Teachers with students from urban and rural folk art teams and hobby clubs first explored the folk heritage of their small homeland, and then gave new lease of life to folk dances, rituals and decorative crafts.
