Court theater is being recreated in Ruzhany palace

The court theater is being recreated in Ruzhany, Brest region where the reconstruction of Sapiehas’ palace has begun. In the 18th century there was a baroque theater there with more than a hundred employees. Even kings used to come there to see the performances. After numerous wars, only the walls of the theater were left. According to the archival drawings the mechanisms of the stage and interior will be recreated. The renovated theater will again stage baroque performances, hold celebrations and festivals.
