01.08.2023
More than 100 unique artifacts are presented at the exhibition "Journey to the Past" in Minsk City Hall. Among the the exhibits are unique archaeological finds discovered this year on the Menka River near the village of Gorodishche, Minsk district. Among them are Byzantine and Syrian beads, belt overlays. This shows that almost a thousand years ago Belarusians had extensive trade relations with both the Scandinavian lands and the Mediterranean. Of great interest are the fragments of ceramic pots and trade seals with princely insignia of Polotsk dynasty representatives.
