13.09.2022
A new exhibition is presented at the National Art Museum. A premiere exhibition "bloomed" in the four halls of the main building. The curators browsed the entire collection of 40,000 pieces of art and chose works where flowers are the main focus. What is the meaning of the images and what did the still life artists want to say? The new exposition will reveal the philosophy of floral symbolism. Roses in ancient icons, tulips in medieval portraits and bouquets embroidered on Belarusian national costumes are there for the audience to reflect upon. The hidden meanings of flower paintings will be explained in more detail at curatorial exhibitions. Later, employees of the Central Botanical Garden will also give lectures at the museum.
