Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater holds anniversary gala concert based on works by Monyushko

Big anniversary of Stanislav Monyushko was held at the Bolshoi. The day before, a mix of famous arias and duets from "Halka", "Haunted Manor" and "Selyanka" was staged at the theater of opera and ballet. The gala concert is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the composer, who was born in Belarusian grange of Ubel, but achieved the largest successes of his career in Warsaw. Polish conductor Roman Revakovich joined the Bolshoi’s event. The national premiere of a historical divertissement to the music of the “In billets” ballet was also presented.
