Biographical drama "Kazbek" produced jointly by Belarusian and Uzbek filmmakers
"Kazbek" returns to Belarusian forests. The production crew of the biographical drama about the Hero of the Soviet Union, partisan scout Mamadali Topvaldiyev (aka Tolik Kazbek) has arrived from Uzbekistan to Belarusian filming locations. For his exploits in the battles for the liberation of Belarus from the fascist invaders, Kazbek received more than one award. And the Germans were willing to reward 50 thousand Reichsmarks for his capture. The final preparations for the launch of the production are already underway. The filmmakers' joint work was presented at the "Belarusfilm" National Film Studio. The filming of the action thriller began in May in Ferghana, the homeland of the hero. By the way, this is not the only joint project of the filmmakers. At the 27th "Listopad" Film Festival, a memorandum was signed on the implementation of "Uzbechka" project. A new documentary film "Yakub Kolas: the book of Tashkent life" is under development.
