Belarusians – at the international competition of pianists, composers and conductors named after S. Rachmaninov
Today in Moscow will open the international competition of pianists, composers and conductors named after S. Rachmaninov. The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev will perform "Symphonic Dances" and Sergei Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto. The soloist will be the artistic director of the forum Denis Matsuev. Musicians from 33 countries will take part in the competition. 530 applications were submitted for consideration by the jury. Lubov Glazova, a student of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, will represent our country in the piano department, and Yury Demidovich in conducting. The musician graduated from the Republican Gymnasium-College in Minsk, and after graduating from the Moscow Conservatory, he works as an assistant trainee. The total prize fund of the International Competition exceeded 200 thousand dollars. Competition will be held from 15 to 27 June.
