Belarus National Library adds old edition of poetry by Adam Mickiewicz to its collection
18.07.2019
The National Library of Belarus announced a sensational acquisition! The collection of the main book depository was added with the oldest of all editions of the poetry by Adam Mickiewicz available in the country. The volume published in 1823 contains such famous poems as "Dzyady" and "Grazyna". This is only one part of the original two-volume book series. The first one containing the early poetry by Mickiewicz is yet to be found. If it happens, the National Library will become the owner of the most complete collection of lifetime editions of the poet in Belarus.
