"Astral Still Life" exhibition opens in Minsk

"Astral Still Life" exhibition has opened at the National Center for Contemporary Arts. A series of works are presented by artist Yuri Yakovenko, winner of the National Prize in the field of fine arts in the "Graphics" nomination for 2020. The mystically titled series contains surreal etchings with images, which depict an unreal world full of fantastic creatures and transformations. Yuri Yakovenko is a world famous Belarusian artist. His illustrations for Gusovski's poem "The Song of the Bison" are kept in the private collections of Queen Elizabeth and former Pope Benedict XVI.
