15% more books in Belarusian published in H1 2018

The amount of books in Belarusian language published in H1 2018 grew by 15% in comparison with the same period last year. Thus, almost every fifth book in Belarus is published in Belarusian. The novelties of the country’s book industry will be exhibited at the 25th anniversary of the Belarusian Written Language Day in Ivanovo, Brest Region. Preparations for the national book forum are almost over. Its main theme will be the Year of Small Motherland. The highlights of the forum will include a series of events timed to the anniversaries of small towns of Belarus and writers Yanka Mavr and Vincent Dunin-Martinkevich, as well as various exhibitions, pavilions and shows and over five thousand books.
