100th anniversary of the birth of Viktor Rovdo

People's Artist of the USSR and Belarus Viktor Rovdo could have turned 100 today. In honor of the author of the reference sounding of the national anthem, dozens of concerts are given annually. Maestro directed the Academic Choir of Belteleradiocompany for half his life. And, thanks to the work of the chorus, the entire two thousandth platinum fund of folklore has been preserved. It was Rovdo who made sacred music the property of secular concerts and taught several hundred students of the conservatory. A concert dedicated to Viktor Rovdo will take place at the Belarusian State Philharmonic on November 21.
