Paralympic athletes officially welcomed in Minsk

16 athletes represented the Belarusian team at "We are together. Sport" Paralympic Winter Games. The athletes won 5 gold, 2 silver and 9 bronze medals. Competitions were held in six sports, including cross-country skiing, biathlon, curling, snowboarding, alpine skiing and sledge hockey. Valentina Shits became a three-time champion in cross-country skiing, two golds and one silver were won by skier Svetlana Sakhonenko. Daria Fedkovich has four medals as she took one second place and three bronze medals. Dmitry Loban and Yuri Golub took two bronze medals, Lidia Loban and Roman Sviridenko won one bronze medal each.
