Minsk hosts international boxing tournament

"Chizhovka-Arena" of the Belarusian capital Minsk is hosting an international boxing tournament in the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union Victor Liventsev. Among the participants are strongest Belarusian boxers, as well as representatives of Armenia, Afghanistan, Kongo, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Preliminary fights and the tournament opening ceremony have already been held. During V.Liventsev’s lifetime, nine such competitions were held – it was then the traditional tournament for the prize of the Palace of Sports. In 2009, the decision was taken to name it after the famous sports functionary.
