The remains of victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War were reburied in Vetka District. They were discovered in the summer of 2025 during excavations in the Shubino tract near the district hospital. The remains of more than 70 civilians were discovered at this site. It was established that 31 children, 19 men and 12 women perished there. The identity of the remains of 13 individuals remains unknown. The bones were discovered at a depth of 2 meters and were buried in two layers. Many skulls were damaged, indicating violence against the victims.
