The preparations for the patriotic project "Memory Train 2026" discussed in the Council of the Republic
It starts on the eve of the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War. This year, new project locations will open: the Mogilev Glory Museum and the Center for Technical Creativity for Children and Youth in Minsk. The celebration of Belarus' Independence Day will also be a key event. The programme of events was discussed at the meeting, and samples of participant equipment were presented. Selection is already underway at educational institutions for the national competition "I am a Patriot of My Country". Nearly 12.000 students have applied for the regional stages, and 105 will advance to the finals. The "Memory Train" project, launched in 2022 at the initiative of the heads of the upper houses of parliament of Belarus and Russia, has received a strong response from youth. Nearly a thousand people have already participated.
