The memory of genocide victims was honored in the Mogilev District
07.05.2026
Near the village of Cheryomushki, several thousand people were tortured by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War, including prisoners of the Jewish ghetto. In the postwar years, a memorial was erected at one of the graves. On the eve of the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory, it was reconstructed. Thanks to extensive research, names and surnames were added to the gravestones, and a QR code was installed. In total, over 5.000 civilians were killed in this region during the Great Patriotic War. The criminal case on genocide continues to reveal new chapters in the Nazi atrocities.
