The Holy Week has begun for Orthodox believers
13.04.2026
This period is considered one of the brightest and most solemn in the church year. During the week, the royal gates remain open in the temples — as a sign that by his death and resurrection, Christ opened the way for people to eternal life and salvation. Believers can ring church bells every day. There is no fasting during this period. It is also customary to do good deeds, help orphans, the sick and the needy. Every believer should share Easter joy with others.
