25.03.2026
The Sustainable Development Goals program emphasizes regional development. Near-term priorities for the Grodno Oblast were discussed at a roundtable in the Ostrovets District. Sustainable energy and infrastructure development were among the priorities. The Ostrovets District was used as an example to assess the potential of small communities. Attention is being paid to high-quality education, the intelligent economy, and environmental safety. Belarus is committed to "green solutions." 40% of the country's electricity is generated by the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). The plant reduces emissions by 7 million tonnes annually.
