Sustainable energy and infrastructure development were among the priorities. The Ostrovets District was used as an example to assess the potential of small communities. Attention is being paid to high-quality education, the intelligent economy, and environmental safety. Belarus is committed to "green solutions." 40% of the country's electricity is generated by the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). The plant reduces emissions by 7 million tonnes annually.
