Subsidies for starting a business have increased
Government subsidies for starting a business have increased in Belarus. Payments have been recalculated due to the increase in the subsistence minimum. Eligibility requirements include being over 18 years of age and registered as unemployed with the employment service. You must also submit an application and a business plan. Specialists are available to assist with the development. Subsidy amounts vary by location and industry. The maximum payment is over 10.000 rubles. The main requirement for receiving this amount is launching a business based on scientific research. More than 200 unemployed people were assisted in starting their own businesses in the first quarter of this year. Of those receiving the subsidy, 40% were women and 20% were young people aged 18 to 30. The service sector remains a priority for aspiring entrepreneurs.
