Moscow hosts a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states

The Belarusian military delegation is represented by Viktor Khrenin. During the visit, the Defense Minister will also hold meetings on bilateral cooperation. The previous meeting of the CIS Defense Ministers was held in Almaty in October 2025. At that time, the Belarusian Defense Ministry noted that the Belarusian-Russian cooperation was of a strategic nature, and such a forum is another reason to meet and compare notes on relevant areas of military cooperation.
