Delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly are elected in Belarus
Delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly from local Councils of Deputies of the central region were approved at a meeting of the session of the Minsk Regional Council of Deputies. 60 people were nominated as candidates. These are representatives of local councils of deputies, experienced people from different fields: artists, doctors, teachers, economists, heads of organizations and enterprises. In total, 290 people are to be elected from local councils, and 400 from civil society. It is planned that the election results will be established no later than April 18. The Assembly will be capped at 1200 people. It will approve the most important documents for the country — the main directions of domestic and foreign policy, military doctrine, concept of national security, and the program of socio-economic development. It will also make decisions on the legitimacy of elections, elect judges, chairs and members of the Central Election Commission.
