Belarusian rescuers are conducting large-scale training
14.05.2026
Specialists are mastering their skills, focusing on the standards of the United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG). A large-scale exercise by the "ZUBR" squad of the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations is underway in Borisov district. Rescuers are preparing to operate in a major disaster. The scenario is as realistic as possible: a devastating earthquake in a neighboring country, hundreds of potential casualties, a loss of communication, and thousands of people homeless. Rescuers will set up a self-contained camp, establish a headquarters, conduct reconnaissance of the area, and begin searching for victims under the rubble. Canine teams, specialized equipment, and technical reconnaissance equipment are involved in the work. According to the exercise scenario, assistance is provided around the clock.
