An exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the establishment of the only Chinese national collective farm in Belarus has opened in Vitebsk
26.03.2026
The exhibition shows the way of life and the peculiarities of the work of Chinese workers on collective farms. The exhibition takes visitors back to the beginning of the twentieth century. Among the exhibits are woodworking tools, a milk can, a churn and a harness element. The unique exhibition is not just a cross-section of an epoch, but a clear confirmation of the close connection between the peoples of Belarus and China. In 1927, about 50 immigrants from China lived on Vitebsk land. Copies of archival documents and illustrative materials arouse genuine interest among the exhibition visitors. Among them are Chinese students studying at Vitebsk universities. They were not only given a tour, but also a thematic lecture.
