Russian opera singer wins Grand Prix of 2nd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition

The Grand Prix winner of the 2nd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition held at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus is Nadezhda Pavlova of Russia. The first and second prizes went to Ukraine"s Mikhail Malafiy and Belarusian Viktor Mendelev, respectively.Today will see the start of the 6th International Christmas Opera Forum in Minsk. This year"s participants represent 22 countries. The Forum, which will open with the Belarusian play The Tsar"s Bride, is due to run for five days.
