Alexander Volodchinsky's private art collection arrives in Minsk

A unique exhibition of paintings from the private collection of Alexander Volodchinsky is scheduled to open today at the National Art Museum. The Belarus-born collector has brought 150 Russian art masterpieces of the XIX-XX centuries to his homeland, including works by Vasily Perov, Viktor Vasnetsov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Chaim Soutine, Stanislav Zhukovsky, Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya and the Makovsky brothers. The exhibition has occupied five halls at the National Art Museum.
