State and Church to continue cooperating to preserve cultural values

State and Church intend to continue cooperating to preserve cultural values, cultural traditions and moral basics. To prove that, Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Ministry of Culture of Belarus have signed a cooperation agreement. The document, signed by Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus, Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Pavel and Culture Minister Boris Svetlov, continues a longstanding tradition of cooperation.A working group has developed a plan of events to take place across the country. Music festivals, readings, exhibitions and joint campaigns to celebrate the anniversaries of the birth of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Sofia Slutskaya and other enlighteners will be held in a special format.
