Next year"s Belarusian Written Language Day will take place in Polotsk. The choice has been based on several upcoming significant dates, such as the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book-printing and the first Bible published by Francysk Skaryna, as well as the 1155th anniversary of Polotsk.
Preparations for the holiday have been discussed at the first meeting of the national organising committee.
