Commemorative events are taking place in the Belarusian classic"s homeland and at the State Literary Museum in Minsk.
Belarus is celebrating the 134th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Lutsevich known worldwide as Yanka Kupala. The poet, translator, playwright and publicist was born in thevillageofVyazynkain the Molodechno district. Commemorative events are traditionally taking place in a memorial park in his homeland and at the State Literary Museum in Minsk.
