Polotsk to host Belarusian Written Language Day in 2017

The Day of the Belarusian Written Language will be held in Polotsk next year. Next year they will mark 500 years of the Belarusian book printing, namely Francis Skaryna was born in Polotsk.
Belarusian Written Language Day is a national holiday, which is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of September. It was first held in 1994 in Polotsk. The capitals of Written Language Day are historical and cultural centers, which are associated with the life of the famous figures of the country. This year"s festival will be held in Rogachev.
