Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus celebrates its 83rd birthday with Doors Open Day

Ballet dancer fans to be given opportunity to stand at ballet barre along with ballet stars of the Bolshoi Theatre. Bolshoi Theatre invites guests behind the scenes. At noon it will open its doors to fans of opera and ballet. In the lobby the guests will be met by guides who will conduct them to workshops, hidden from the public eye. Also meetings with the chief director, conductor, choirmaster, artistic director of the ballet, opera soloists will be held. All three thousand doors of the theater will be opened during the five-hour tour. It will be possible to see the work of the make-up artists, prop makers, and see how ballet shoes are made. Open Doors Day is dedicated to the birthday of the troupe. Today the Bolshoi Theatre marks its 83rd anniversary.
