Alexander Lukashenko signs Code of Culture

The Code covers all aspects of culture. In the year of culture the Code of Culture appeared in Belarus. Today, President Alexander Lukashenko signed the document adopted and approved by Parliament. It has no analogues on the post-Soviet space. More than 200 pages contain a 250 legislative acts. The Code covers all areas of culture - folk art, crafts, library, cinema, as well as the activities of museums, art unions, protection of historical and cultural heritage of the country. The Code will enter into force 6 months after its official publication.
