20th International Festival Bells of St. Sophia Cathedral opens in Polotsk

The 20th Bells of St. Sophia Cathedral Festival was opened with a performance by the duo of Hans Christian Hein and Peter Dam-Hein from Denmark. The event is planned to feature musicians from Austria, France, Italy and Russia. Its programme will consist of music by Baroque and French and German Romanticism composers, as well as of contemporary works. The festival, comprised of 8 concerts, will last till 22 November.Throughout the 20-year history of the international forum, the concert hall of St. Sophia Cathedral has seen musicians from 22 countries, with festival concerts attended by more than 20,000 people.
