During his visit, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Belarus Aijaz Muhammad met with the management of the TV channel Belarus 24. The parties noted the importance of expanding interaction between Belarus and Pakistan in the media sphere and discussed steps to strengthen cooperation. For the diplomat, the visit was his first acquaintance with the media industry of our country since taking office.
Director of the TV channel Belarus 24 Pavel Lazovik noted the friendly traditions established with the Embassy of Pakistan in Belarus, stressed readiness to actively cover the events of the Belarus-Pakistan dialogue and voiced a number of initiatives to promote Belarusian content in the South Asian region, including in English. The meeting focused on the capabilities of Belteleradiocompany in connection with the launch of the First Informational TV channel, which covers key events in the country and the world with a focus on exclusive interviews, analyses and live broadcasts.
The Ambassador of Pakistan informed in detail about the results of the visit of Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif to Belarus. Aijaz Muhammad was impressed by the studio pavilions of Belteleradiocompany, familiarised himself with the TV production process, visited the Museum of the History of Radio and Television, and spoke about the peculiarities of Pakistan's media landscape.
