Minsk - the host city of the II European Games

This will be the most mass sporting events in the country’s history. More than 4 thousand athletes from 50 countries, about 2 thousand trainers and 600 international judges will come to Belarus to participate in the second European Games.

The program of the second European Games includes competition in 15 sports: badminton, basketball 3x3, boxing, wrestling, cycling, gymnastics, canoeing, judo, karate, athletics, sambo, archery, shooting, table tennis and beach soccer. In total athletes will be awarded with 189 sets of medals.

The preparation is well under way: the organization of the European Games is a landmark event, but our country will try to impress with our warm-heartedness and national color.

The opening ceremony of the European games is scheduled for 21 June 2019. The opening ceremony will be held at the Dinamo Stadium in Minsk. The main competitions will be held in Minsk Arena and Chizhovka Arena. In general, during the Euro Olympics it is planned to use 12 arenas throughout the country.

The II European Games already has its logo and slogan: "Bright Year, Bright You". The Belarusian equivalent of the slogan is «Час яскравых перамог» and Russian is «Время ярких побед». To become a part of this great event, it is not necessary to be an athlete - the contest for the development of a talisman is opened until 15 November.
