A working meeting was held at Belteleradiocompany with the participation of Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Republic of Belarus, as well as representatives from the main directorate of Belarus 24 TV Channel, the Main Directorate of International Relations, and the Directorate of licensed programmes and film screenings.
The Embassy of the Republic of India in the Republic of Belarus has expressed interest in further developing cooperation between Belteleradiocompany and Prasar Bharati, the Indian state broadcaster. The parties discussed the potential for sharing cultural, entertainment and documentary content, and emphasised the value of active collaboration in developing contacts in the media sector, digital industry and tourism.
It should be noted that in 2015, during the visit of the President of India to the Republic of Belarus, a Memorandum of Mutual Assistance was signed between the Belteleradiocompany and the Indian state broadcaster Prasar Bharati.
The meeting also addressed the potential for broadcasting the International satellite TV channel Belarus 24 in India. To this end, Rajesh Kumar extended an invitation to the Belarus 24 TV Channel to present its potential at the international exhibition in the field of audiovisual and communication technologies scheduled for February 2025 in India. Pavel Lazovik, Chief Director of the Belarus 24 TV Channel, thanked the Embassy representatives for the invitation and emphasised the importance of the participation of the Belteleradiocompany channels in the exhibition for further expanding the audience, sharing experience and mastering modern technologies.
