MILITARY TRAINING
Military issues are at the centre of the President's attention. Aleksandr Lukashenko inspected the work of a missile brigade in Mogilev Oblast. The President was briefed on the planned training exercise with military units on the combat use of nuclear weapons and nuclear support. The exercise is being conducted in cooperation with the Russian side.
UNION AGENDA
The three-year cycle of the provisions of the Treaty establishing the Union State of Belarus and Russia will conclude at the end of this year. A meeting of the High-Level Group of the Belarus-Russia Union State Council of Ministers was held in Pskov, where participants discussed the content of the future document, as well as a wide range of issues related to the future trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia, including long-term prospects.
FOLLOWING THE NEGOTIATIONS
A new stage in the development of the Belarusian-American dialogue. Belarus was visited by a guest from the United States: Franklin Graham, President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He is a famous and influential preacher and an associate of Donald Trump.
WORLD URBAN FORUM
Belarus is ready to share its experience and capabilities in urban development. Our country actively supports global urbanization trends and is open to sincere dialogue and vibrant partnership in addressing contemporary challenges. This was stated by Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan.
INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION
The China-Belarus International Industrial and Innovation Cooperation Centre opened in Harbin. The ceremony took place as part of the Forum on High-Quality Industrial Cooperation between China, Russia and Belarus. The centre will enable businesses from both countries to more efficiently communicate and develop trade between enterprises.
SANCTIONS LIFTED
Alina Harnasko won bronze at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Portimao, Portugal. The Belarusian athlete took third place in the ribbon event. For many gymnasts, the tournament in Portugal served as a preparation for the European Championships, which will be held in Varna at the end of May.
