PARTNERS IN AFRICA
The President of Ghana visited Belarus. This is the first high-level visit for more than 30 years of history of Belarusian-Ghanaian relations. The countries are embarking on bilateral cooperation. Belarus views Ghana as a promising new partner in Africa.
A new joint committee on trade and economic cooperation will coordinate further work on Belarus-Ghana axis. Aleksandr Lukashenko called for the first meeting to be held without delay to determine a concrete action plan and implement all agreements.
UNWAVERING SUPPORT
Belarus always chooses peace and only equal cooperation. The Speaker of the House of Representatives held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba. Minsk places particular importance on strengthening relations with Havana. There are prospects in agricultural sector. The partners are interested in increasing imports of Belarusian medicines and developing cooperation in mechanical engineering.
QUANTUM FUTURE
Belarus will be involved in innovative projects in the field of high technology. This was also discussed in Moscow at the First BRICS Quantum Technologies Forum. Belarus and Russia have extensive joint experience in cooperation in quantum field. Two power units of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant are already in operation, and discussions are underway on the construction of the third one.
ITALIAN INVESTMENTS IN BELARUS
The National Agency of Investment and Privatization held a series of short international forums entitled "Belarus Investment Days in Italy" for Italian companies interested in developing their business in Belarus. Approximately 40 Italian companies operating in pharmaceutical, perfume, cosmetics, textile, and food industries participated in forums over the course of three days.
SCIENTISTS' INNOVATION
Belarusian scientists have developed two medicines for the treatment of lung cancer. Currently, there are no similar drugs available. One of these drugs is based on a cyclopeptide. It has shown high efficacy in preclinical trials against lung cancer. Clinical trials are expected to yield positive results.
