UNITED AND INDEPENDENT

The unity of the Belarusian people equals state independence. Aleksandr Lukashenko made this statement at the national forum "Youth. Belarus. Future". In his speech the President highlighted the significance of People's Unity Day. In the 1920s Belarus faced the injustice of the Treaty of Riga, and in 1939 a truly momentous event in our history took place: the reunification of the lands.


THE VALUES OF BELARUSIANS

Health, family, prosperity and peace are the core values of Belarusians. These are the results of a large-scale nationwide study conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, commissioned by the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research. The study covered 99 settlements and involved more than 2.000 respondents.

BELARUSIAN-AMERICAN NEGOTIATIONS

Belarus and the United States came to an interim agreement. The United States will lift sanctions from Lakokraska and Bellesbumprom. The Belarusian President held talks with the representatives of Donald Trump's team. US Special Envoy to Belarus John Coale returned to Minsk. 

GLOBAL PRIORITIES

Belarusian Foreign Minister participated in the 18th BRICS summit in New Delhi. The Indian capital brought together delegations from various countries, including partner states like Belarus. The main theme was building resilience, innovation, cooperation, and the principles of sustainable development.

NUCLEAR SAFETY

Belarus reaffirms its readiness for constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. This was stated by Andrei Dapkiunas, Head of the Belarusian delegation and Permanent Representative of Belarus to the International Organizations in Vienna, speaking at the 70th session of the IAEA General Conference.

MILITARY POTENTIAL

The defense ministers of Belarus and China discussed combat training activities and future areas for cooperation. The meeting took place in Beijing ahead of the 13th Xiangshan Forum on security issues. Viktor Khrenin highlighted the importance of military education. He noted that the agreements reached in June regarding the training of Chinese military personnel at the Military Academy of Belarus demonstrated trust and high appreciation of the country's military education system. Admiral Dong Jun in his turn proposed reaching the potential for cooperation in new areas and expressed confidence that Belarus and China could work together to focus on developing "new-quality forces" to achieve further progress.
