DIPLOMACY AND DEFENSE

Belarus is open to proposals for developing bilateral relations with foreign partners, whether in trade, investment, education, or science. Support will be provided at all levels. This was stated by the President while accepting the credentials of foreign ambassadors.

COMMON SECURITY

Common security issues are at the center of the President's attention. Aleksandr Lukashenko met with the new CSTO General Secretary. The head of state emphasized that Belarus has always been a driving force in the development of relations within the Organization, and today Minsk takes a proactive stance. Therefore, in the current complex global situation, the CSTO must recognize its role and focus on relevant areas of action.

FALSE FREEDOM OF SPEECH

A flagrant violation of the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the OSCE's fundamental principles of freedom of speech! The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the blocking of channels and the destruction of content from three major national media outlets in Belarus.

ENERGOPROM-2026

The Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP) is a key energy project for Belarus. Since the first unit's start-up, more than 58 billion Kilowatt-hours (kWh) have been generated. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich at the ENERGOPROM International Electric Power Forum in Kazan. Belarus has effectively created an entire industry: specialists have been trained, the necessary infrastructure has been established, and new competencies have been developed not only in nuclear energy but also in related industries. A decision has also been made to build a third unit.

MINSK–MUSCAT

Belarus and Oman are committed to building a long-term partnership. This was confirmed at the joint Belarus-Oman business forum held in Muscat. Several dozen Belarusian companies representing various sectors of the economy, from the food industry to IT, visited the Sultanate. The delegation of Oman consisted of over 300 businesses. In recent years, the interest of Oman businesses in Belarus has increased significantly. The Middle East has become an important part of our business interests. This is due to the political will of the leaders and the practical interest of the business community.

ATOM FOR PEACE

Uzbekistan is interested in the Belarusian experience of building nuclear power plants. This was the main reason for the visit of the Uzbek Government delegation to the Ostrovets Nuclear Power Plant. They also agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. It is important for this country today. Since Uzbekistan is just beginning to embark on the path of using peaceful nuclear energy.
